If everyone could afford to pay thousands of dollars for a new website, chances are they would. But the reality of it is that not everyone can.
When I first started out I had no website experience, but I wanted to create a blog for the trip of a lifetime that I was about to embark on. I wasn’t about to drop $3,000 on a new website, so I decided to take matters into my own hands: I went with Squarespace.
In most situations, I will always recommend WordPress as your go-to website platform, but if you are on a budget and can’t afford to pay money for a new site or if you are the kind of person that wants to tackle the job yourself, then I recommend Squarespace.
Here are my three favorite Squarespace themes, as well as some tutorials to help get you started.
1. Bedford (Best for Business)
Bedford is a great theme for those starting a storefront or online business. It has a lot more customization capabilities than most other themes, and because it’s so popular, there are hundreds of articles out there with tips and tricks, as well as pre-written code to spruce up your website.

2. Tudor (Best for Blogging)
This theme brings back the classic post style reminiscent of a magazine or classic blog. It also has a fold out menu so that your visitors aren’t overwhelmed with options from the start.

3. Avenue (Best for Photography)
Avenue has a sleek and timeless look. It utilizes an aesthetically-pleasing grid format to highlight your portfolio, making it perfect for anyone wanting to show off their artistic talent.
